Terms of Service

Last updated: 8 August 2026 (billing section added)

No legal entity has been registered for Headergrade yet. These terms are provided as a statement of how the service is intended to be used. The operator must supply an entity name, address and jurisdiction before these terms bind anyone under law. Until then, the service is provided on an "as is" basis with no formal legal standing.

1. Service description

Headergrade is a diagnostic tool that fetches a user-supplied URL and reports the HTTP response headers the server sends, along with plain-language explanations of what each header does. The service does not store any data, does not create user accounts, does not send email, and does not perform scheduled scans.

2. Acceptable use

You may use Headergrade to scan any URL you have authorisation to test. You agree not to:

3. No stored data

Headergrade does not have a database. There are no user accounts, no saved scan history, no stored URLs, and no retained results. Each scan is independent. The only data transmitted is the URL you provide, which is processed in memory and discarded after the response is returned to your browser.

4. No guarantee of accuracy

Headergrade reports headers exactly as received from the target server. It does not validate, correct or enrich those values. Network conditions, CDN behaviour, and the target server's configuration all affect what headers are returned. The service is provided "as is" with no warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose.

5. No compliance certification

Headergrade does not certify or assert compliance with any security standard, regulation or framework (including but not limited to PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or GDPR). A scan result does not constitute a security audit.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of Headergrade shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

7. Billing

Headergrade is currently free to use. The Free tier (€0/month) includes unlimited scans, no signup, and no catches. A paid Pro tier at €9/month is proposed but is not yet available for purchase.

7.1 What you pay

The Free tier has no cost and no billing information is collected. When Pro becomes available, the price, billing period (monthly or annual), and included features will be stated clearly on the pricing page before you complete any purchase. There will be no charges without your explicit consent.

7.2 Failed payments

When a subscription payment system is operational, failed payment attempts will be retried for up to 5 days (one attempt per day). If all retries fail, access to paid features will be suspended until a successful payment is received. No data will be deleted during a suspension; access is restored once payment clears.

7.3 Refunds

Because Headergrade has no paid tier today, no refund policy is in effect. When Pro launches, refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis with a standard 14-day money-back guarantee for annual subscriptions. Monthly subscriptions may be cancelled at any time with no further charges, but fees for the current billing period are non-refundable.

7.4 No payment processor connected

Headergrade does not currently have a payment processor integrated. No real payments can be accepted. Any checkout forms or subscription buttons on the site are demonstrative only and do not process, transmit, or store payment information. When a payment processor is connected, this section will be updated with the processor name, security measures, and how your payment data is handled.

8. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the product evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing law

No governing law or jurisdiction is specified because no legal entity has been registered. This section will be updated when an entity and jurisdiction are established.

10. Contact

No contact address or support inbox has been established. When the operator registers a legal entity, a contact method will be provided here.
